Velichovky Spa

Already in 1897 the local peat (which is an unique kind in our country) has contributed to the beginning and credit of the spa. The bathing houses in the sustained landscape park are lovely kempt and the view of the complex itself is a pleasure for the eye. Namely ladies can appreciate the local beauty pavilion. Not only patients are affording there traditional spa waffles and also famed Velichovský liquer but also the other visitors admiring charm of this idylic shire. Chalky peat mould containing calcite and ferrum has been used for treatment of the traumatogenic patients, before and after operations of bones and joints including joint replacements and locomotive system diseases. There is also recreative sports area providing many kinds of sports self-realization in the place.

A village of Velichovky with more centenary bathing history is situated in the fruitful downland 20 km far from the town of Hradec Králové.
