Spa description
The first mention about the existence of the thermal springs comes from 1281. The brth of the spa dates back in the first half of the 16th century. However, the spa wrote down its blom not until 50s of 20th century. The spa has been ceasing on the base of thermal springs of the healing waters the temperature of which reaches to 46°C. The spa treatment is based on usage of the thermal water combinated with physical treatment, electropathy, rehabilitation and healing nourishment based on the diet system. An extensive spa park in which the spa is situated creates so a balneal area jsut in the centre of the town. In summer 2007 there was built and opened modern centre of thermal pools, whirlpools, saunas and outdoor water world with attractions - Spa & Aquapark.
Locality
The spa is situated in the wonderful region of Turiec in the centre of Slovakia between two nationals parks Malá and Velká Fatra providing summer and winter sports options.
