Berta´s Spa was founded in the second half of the 19th century. The territorial peat – a natural resource taking benefical effects on the human health of which has brought fame to this spa has been used while healing. Primarily there are people suffering from back and joint pains, post-opearational and traumatogenic conditions and rheumatic illnesses in the healing resort.

Description
Hotel Hvězda – at the beginning of 20th century numbered among the most modern equipped spa hotels at the time. There was for example the only installed lift, telegraph or – today so apparent- English toilette. That´s why there is no wonder there was accommodated English King Edward VII on the occassion of his last stay or also former Russian tzar.
Hotel Skalník – directly neighbouring to the Hotel Hvězda and thanks to its position right on the Goethe Square very much-sought-for target of the bathers. The name itself resembles the world-known German poet Johann Wolfgang Goethe who had been accommodated in the directly neighbourhood. There he also probably met his last love Ulrika von Lewetzov.
